EKI Energy Services Ltd. has released a new whitepaper titled “COP29 Outcomes: A Comprehensive Review through the Lens of the Carbon Market.” The paper offers a detailed analysis of key outcomes from the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29), held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11–22, 2024.

It covers major milestones from COP29, including the finalization of Article 6 frameworks for carbon markets, the establishment of a $300 billion annual climate finance target (New Collective Quantified Goal), and progress in areas like adaptation, loss, and damage. The paper also discusses the implementation of Articles 6.2 and 6.4 and their impact on global carbon markets, alongside the emergence of new models such as “Carbon as a Service.”

Mr. Manish Dabkara, Chairman & Managing Director of EKI Energy Services Ltd., said in a statement, “Through this whitepaper, we aim to shed light on how COP29 outcomes will reshape carbon markets, foster international cooperation, and enable developing nations to achieve climate goals effectively.”

The paper highlights India’s leadership at COP29, focusing on its strong support for the Global South, promoting disaster resilience, and advancing solar energy development. It offers practical recommendations for policymakers, industry leaders, and other stakeholders to adapt to the changing climate challenges.
