Global Gases Group upgrades helium facility in Doha to meet demand

Dubai-based Global Gases Group has opened an upgraded helium filling facility in Doha, Qatar, expanding its operations in the Middle East. Located in the industrial area of the city, the new facility aims to support the diving needs of the region’s offshore oil and gas sector, with helium being a key ingredient for deep dives.

Swapnil Vichare, Director of Business at Global Gases Group, explained, “The facility ispositioned to serve the offshore industry’s diving gas needs, meeting the required safety and quality standards. The plant operates with DNV 2.7-1 certified quads and is accredited to BS EN 12021 standards.”

This facility is the third in the MENA region for Global Gases Group. Founder and CEO Deepak Mehta said that the expansion is part of the company’s efforts to meet the growing demand for gases in key markets.
