GridCrest Technologies Emerges L1 For INR 3,241 Crore KSEB Smart Meter Tender

GridCrest Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a major smart metering and digital infrastructure project of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB). The project, titled “Smart Meters & Allied Software and Communication Infrastructure — AMI Project Phase II,” is aimed at strengthening advanced metering infrastructure and digital power distribution across Kerala.

According to the tender result announced on September 5, 2026, GridCrest Technologies submitted the lowest financial bid of ₹3,241 crore. The project has a completion period of 2,880 days and is being implemented for KSEB in Kerala under Tender ID 2026_KSEB_828557_1.

Infinite Computer Solutions (India) Ltd. emerged as the second-lowest bidder with a bid of ₹3,461 crore, while Kimbal Private Ltd. ranked third at ₹3,643 crore, approximately 12.4% higher than the L1 bid. Linkwell Telesystems Pvt. Ltd. quoted ₹3,831 crore, followed by Allied Engineering Works Ltd. at ₹4,218 crore.

HPL Electric & Power Ltd. and Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd. submitted bids of ₹4,593 crore and ₹4,985 crore, respectively.

A total of 11 bidders participated in the tender, with one bidder failing to clear the technical qualification stage. The project reflects the growing adoption of smart meters, AMI systems, communication infrastructure and digital technologies in India’s power distribution sector.

GridCrest Technologies’ L1 position remains subject to KSEB’s final evaluation and the completion of the formal award process.
