Inox Solar Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Inox Clean Energy Limited, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LONGi (H.K.) Trading Limited, a global leader in solar technology. Under this strategic agreement, LONGi will supply up to 5 GW of solar modules over the next three years, marking a significant milestone in advancing India’s solar manufacturing capabilities.

The collaboration aims to strengthen India’s renewable energy ecosystem by enabling Inox Solar to work closely with LONGi to adopt internationally recognized manufacturing and quality standards. This partnership will bridge the technological gap in the adoption of new solar innovations, promoting efficiency and reliability across India’s rapidly growing solar sector. It also aligns with the national vision of self-reliance and sustainability under the Make in India initiative.

The agreement reflects LONGi’s commitment to the Indian market and its role in nurturing a technologically advanced solar manufacturing ecosystem in the country. By sharing its global expertise, technological know-how, and best practices, LONGi aims to empower local partners like Inox Solar to deliver high-performance and durable solar products tailored to India’s energy needs.

Inox Solar Limited has already commenced production at its state-of-the-art solar module manufacturing facility located in Bavla, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The facility currently operates with an initial production capacity of 1.2 GW and is expected to expand to 3 GW in the coming weeks as part of its second-phase growth plan. Additionally, the company is setting up an integrated 5 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Dhenkanal, Odisha, which will further strengthen its role in India’s renewable energy manufacturing landscape.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Devansh Jain, Executive Director of the INOXGFL Group, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, “We are committed to supporting India’s ambition of becoming a self-reliant solar manufacturing hub. Collaborations such as this are vital in bringing global technology and quality benchmarks to the domestic industry.”

Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO Renewables, INOXGFL Group, added, “Aligning with a global leader like LONGi allows us to accelerate our journey toward manufacturing excellence. This partnership will help ensure that the Indian market continues to have access to advanced and competitive solar technologies.”

Mr. Frank Zhao, President of LONGi APAC, shared, “LONGi is dedicated to working with multiple partners across India to drive clean energy adoption. Through knowledge sharing and technical cooperation, we aim to support the growth of high-quality solar manufacturing in the region, in line with India’s renewable energy goals.”

Adding to this, Mr. Pablo, Head of Strategic Accounts, India & APAC, LONGi, remarked, “This partnership marks an essential step in accelerating India’s renewable energy goals and delivering sustainable, impactful solutions.”

The collaboration between Inox Solar and LONGi represents a forward-looking approach to strengthening India’s solar manufacturing capacity, driving innovation, and contributing significantly to the country’s clean energy transition.
