Jakson Engineers Limited has successfully supplied 100 MW of solar PV modules to Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) for its 2,375 MW Renewable Energy Park near Khavda in Gujarat. This marks an important step in India’s clean energy transition, helping GIPCL reduce carbon emissions and enhance long-term energy security.

Jakson Engineers was the first company to complete its contract capacity, delivering approximately 1,90,000 high-efficiency PERC bifacial solar panels under its Helia Plus series. These modules were manufactured by Jakson Solar Modules and Cells, a key division of the Jakson Group.

Anurag Garg, CEO of Jakson Solar Modules and Cells, expressed pride in partnering with GIPCL on this project. He highlighted the company’s focus on efficiency and reliability in execution. He also reaffirmed Jakson’s commitment to supporting India’s solar industry with high-quality products and contributing to the country’s ambitious renewable energy goals. He added that the company is optimistic about the future and is eager to strengthen domestic manufacturing while positioning India as a global leader in sustainable energy.

In addition to this achievement, Jakson Engineers recently announced plans to invest approximately ₹2,000 crore ($215.9 million) to set up a 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility. The company is also working on expanding its solar module manufacturing capacity from 1.2 GW to 2 GW. These efforts aim to boost India’s solar manufacturing capabilities and support the country’s growing renewable energy sector.
