LightSeeds and Cybrid Announce Global Co-Innovation Partnership at SNEC to Accelerate Rollout of Eco-Engineered Solar Modules

Shanghai, China – [June 11, 2025] — At SNEC one of the world’s premier solar industry exhibitions LightSeeds and Cybrid jointly announced a global co-innovation partnership to accelerate the industrial deployment of a new class of eco-engineered solar modules. The announcement was made in the presence of industrial partners, and international stakeholders, underscoring the significance of this collaboration for the future of sustainable photovoltaics.

This partnership brings together Cybrid’s global leadership in advanced materials and manufacturing with LightSeeds’ Swiss-developed, patented solar technology delivering ultra-light, glass-free modules with over 50% lower carbon footprint than conventional PV. Together, the two companies are setting the stage for the rapid market adoption of high-performance, environmentally responsible solar solutions.

LightSeeds, a Swiss cleantech company, is commercializing a new class of lightweight, rigid glass-free solar modules engineered from advanced polymers. The design slashes carbon footprint achieving more than 50% lower CO₂ emissions across the product lifecycle compared to conventional glass modules. These advantages open up unprecedented possibilities for PV integration into rooftops, facades, and other vertical infrastructures where traditional panels fall short.

“Sustainability is not an option it’s a requirement,” said the CEO of LightSeeds. “Our patented Swiss technology redefines how solar can be deployed, with a product that is fully recyclable and drastically more climate-responsible following circular economy schemes. We are proud to present this breakthrough here at SNEC, alongside a global network of innovators and stakeholders.”

Cybrid, a leading materials innovator with global reach, has joined forces with LightSeeds to accelerate product development and global scaling. The partnership underscores a shared vision for impactful, scalable clean energy solutions.

“LightSeeds represents exactly the kind of disruptive innovation the solar industry needs,” said 吴 Mark Wu, CEO of Cybrid. “Cybrid and LightSeeds share the same vision of ‘making the PV industry more sustainable’, therefore tailor-made a complete portfolio of polymer solution for LightSeeds’ lightweight module, which supports LightSeeds’ product commercialization and differentiation”.

With the technology now poised for industrial rollout, LightSeeds is launching a campaign to engage with investors and manufacturers interested in licensing its intellectual property. Rooted in Swiss engineering excellence and protected by a strong patent portfolio, LightSeeds’ IP offers a compelling opportunity for players seeking a competitive edge in the next wave of solar.
