LONGi Partners With BNZ In Strategic Framework Agreement To Develop 336 MW Of Solar Power In Southern Europe

LONGi Solar Technology, a global leader in solar module manufacturing, has entered into a Framework Agreement with BNZ, a prominent independent power producer (IPP) specializing in renewable energy projects. This partnership not only reinforces a long-standing relationship between the two companies but also marks a significant step forward in BNZ’s mission to expand its renewable energy capacity across Europe.

BNZ is part of Nuveen Infrastructure’s portfolio, managed through the Europe Clean Energy Fund III — one of the largest renewable energy investment funds in Europe. By the end of this year, BNZ is set to achieve over 500 MW of operational capacity across Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Notably, four of BNZ’s projects, with a combined capacity of 130 MW in Spain and Italy, already utilize LONGi’s high-performance solar modules. Building on this successful collaboration, BNZ has now chosen LONGi as its direct supplier for its 2025 solar project pipeline in Europe, totalling 336 MW.

Daniel Sánchez, Director at BNZ, said “In BNZ, we firmly believe in the importance of collaborating with strategic partners who share our vision for a more sustainable future. This agreement with LONGi marks an important step in our commitment to delivering high-quality and efficient renewable energy solutions.”

Luis Selva, Managing Director of BNZ, also added, “We are committed to driving the energy transition and our collaboration reflects our strategic vision of innovation and growth in the renewable energy sector. We look forward to leveraging our combined expertise to accelerate the adoption of clean energy technologies.”

As part of the agreement, BNZ will integrate LONGi’s advanced Hi-MO 7 and Hi-MO 9 module series into its projects. The Hi-MO 9 modules, featuring LONGi’s state-of-the-art HPBC (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) 2.0 technology, are renowned for their high efficiency, bi-faciality, and ability to optimize energy generation while reducing the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE). These next-generation modules will significantly enhance the performance and energy output of BNZ’s solar projects, reinforcing its dedication to delivering sustainable and reliable solar power.

Francois CUI, President of LONGi Europe, commented, “This collaboration marks a new milestone in our strategic partnership with BNZ. As long-term partners, we are leveraging our strengths to drive innovation, accelerate market growth, and enhance our competitive edge in the European market. We believe this is not only a new opportunity for both businesses but also a benchmark for the industry. We look forward to deepening our collaboration with BNZ and creating greater business value together!”

The signing of this Framework Agreement underscores BNZ’s unwavering commitment to advancing solar energy development while nurturing strong industry partnerships. As the global demand for clean energy continues to grow, this collaboration sets the stage for greater renewable energy adoption in Europe, paving the way for a more sustainable future.
