Global cryogenic equipment provider Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Nikkiso) has signed a five-year service agreement with Greek maritime company Maran Tankers Management (Maran Tankers) to provide global aftermarket support for the company’s high-pressure pump systems.
The agreement covers scheduled cold end valve repairs at defined service intervals, alongside technical support and extended overhauls during dry-docking periods.
The systems are used to handle and transfer cryogenic fuels such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) under high pressure onboard vessels, supporting fuel supply and cargo handling operations.
Nikkiso said it will maintain critical spare inventory across its global marine hub network, enabling replacement cold ends to reach vessels within days rather than the industry norm of several months.
“With Marine Hubs across Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the US, and China, we can provide our clients with a coordinated global approach and seamless port-to-port servicing,” said Sean Fanniff, President of Nikkiso CE&IG’s Cryogenic Services Business Unit.
The deal forms part of Nikkiso’s wider push to strengthen its position in the marine cryogenics and LNG shipping sectors, where demand is growing for low-carbon fuel handling systems and lifecycle support services.
The company supplies cryogenic technologies for LNG, ammonia and hydrogen marine applications, including fuel gas supply systems and cargo handling equipment.
Maran Tankers, part of Greece’s Angelicoussis Group, has expanded its fleet of LNG-capable and dual-fuel vessels in recent years as shipping operators face tightening emissions requirements.
