NTPC Limited has invited bids for the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 340 kWp rooftop solar power system at SVNIRTAR under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The project aims to enhance renewable energy adoption at the facility. The bidding process will follow a single-stage, two-envelope system, ensuring a structured evaluation process.

The tender process commenced on February 13, 2025, with the bid submission deadline set for March 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The technical bids will be opened on March 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM, with price bids scheduled for a later date. Interested bidders must submit their proposals through NTPC’s e-procurement portal.

The project involves supplying and installing solar photovoltaic (SPV) systems, including necessary structural and civil work. The contractor will be responsible for transporting and erecting the equipment, conducting testing, and ensuring the system functions as per technical specifications. NTPC will finance the project through internal resources.

Bidders must meet specific eligibility requirements to qualify. The technical criteria state that the bidder should have designed, supplied, and commissioned at least one grid-connected SPV plant of 100 kWp or above and a cumulative capacity of 270 kWp or more. The reference plant must have been operational for at least six months before the bid submission. The financial criteria require bidders to have an average annual turnover of at least ₹150 lakh over the past three financial years. If the bidder does not meet this requirement, the holding company can provide financial support, subject to conditions.

The tender fee is ₹2,655, which must be paid online. The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is ₹2,00,000, which is mandatory for all bidders and must be submitted via online payment or a bank guarantee. The Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) details will be as per the bidding document.

Only “Class-I” and “Class-II” local suppliers, as per the Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order 2017, are eligible to participate. Bidders must provide declarations confirming their compliance with local content requirements. Entities from countries sharing a land border with India must be registered with the competent authority to be eligible.

NTPC reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without assigning reasons. The tender process will be conducted transparently, and all documents must be submitted in compliance with NTPC’s requirements. Queries regarding the bid can be directed to NTPC officials at the Unified Shared Service Centre, Raipur.
