NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has invited bids for an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) package, including land acquisition and development, for up to 600 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected ground-mounted solar photovoltaic projects near the Dhule Solar Project in Maharashtra. The proposed capacity is divided into two blocks of 300 MW each, allowing bidders to participate for one or both blocks under the tender conditions.
The scope of work covers land identification, acquisition, and transfer of ownership or lease to NTPC REL. The selected contractor must ensure that the land is free from encumbrances and includes the area required for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The package also includes the complete design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar power projects, along with the associated power evacuation infrastructure.
The contractor will be responsible for developing a dedicated 220 kV transmission line and constructing new terminal line bays at NTPC REL’s Dhule Solar Project pooling substation (PSS). The scope also includes performance testing to demonstrate guaranteed power generation, the supply of mandatory spares, and comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the entire plant and switchyard for three years from the date of commissioning.
NTPC REL issued the Invitation for Bids (IFB) on October 16, 2026. Bidding documents will be available for download until October 26, 2026, at 17:00 hours IST. The pre-bid conference and the last date for submitting queries are scheduled for October 28, 2026.
Interested bidders must submit their techno-commercial and price bids by November 13, 2026, at 15:00 hours IST. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same day at 15:30 hours IST.
The tender specifies a mandatory Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹20 crore for bids covering either one 300 MW block or both blocks, representing the full 600 MW capacity. The bidding document fee is nil. However, bidders must upload a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) on the ETS portal before the bidding document download period closes to obtain authorization to access the official documents.
The tender also requires bank guarantees to be submitted electronically through the National e-Governance Services Limited (NeSL) platform. Physical bank guarantees will not be accepted.
Through this tender, NTPC REL aims to advance solar power development in Maharashtra, supported by dedicated transmission infrastructure and provisions for future energy storage integration.
