Solar Insure Launches SI-30 Battery Warranty, Adds More Vendors To Approved List

Solar Insure has introduced the SI-30 Battery Warranty, a 30-year protection plan designed to provide homeowners and solar providers with long-term reliability and confidence in their energy storage systems. As energy storage becomes an essential component of solar installations, this warranty ensures that battery systems remain functional and efficient over time.

The SI-30 Battery Warranty covers parts, labor, and diagnostics for battery-related issues and offers a one-time battery replacement between years 11 and 30 if capacity falls below 50% after the manufacturer’s warranty expires. Unlike many warranties, it is assigned to the property rather than the individual owner, allowing for a seamless transfer to new homeowners at no extra cost.

Additionally, there are no hidden fees, including zero deductible, subscription, or onboarding costs. To further enhance security, the warranty includes manufacturer default protection backed by an A.M. Best A+ Rated insurance carrier, safeguarding homeowners and solar providers from potential manufacturer warranty failures.

Alongside this new warranty, Solar Insure is expanding its Approved Vendor List (AVL) by adding six new solar and storage equipment manufacturers: EG4 Electronics, Fortress Power, FoxESS, Lunar Energy, PointGuard, and QCells. These additions give solar providers access to a wider range of high-quality, vetted products that meet strict standards for quality, durability, and performance. The rigorous AVL approval process ensures that only the most reliable manufacturers are included, reinforcing Solar Insure’s commitment to providing dependable solutions in the solar industry.

Ara Agopian, CEO of Solar Insure, said in a statement, “Given the rapid growth of the solar and storage market, the SI-30 Battery Warranty is designed to meet this demand, ensuring that both homeowners and providers have peace of mind about the longevity of their energy systems.”

Dean Chiaravallotti, Chief Revenue Officer at Solar Insure, stated, “More than just a warranty, SI-30 Battery represents a shift in how the industry approaches energy resilience. By providing homeowners with assurance in their battery investment, we enable solar providers to build long-term trust and provide lasting value.”

The need for robust energy storage solutions has grown significantly, with energy storage adoption increasing by over 300% since 2020. Today, approximately one in four solar systems include a battery, making reliable protection more important than ever. The SI-30 Battery Warranty not only supports battery retrofits and standalone storage solutions but also helps solar providers reconnect with existing customers and explore new revenue opportunities.

By launching this warranty and expanding its AVL, Solar Insure continues to play a crucial role in advancing sustainable and resilient solar energy solutions, ensuring that homeowners and providers have access to long-term, high-quality protection for their energy storage investments.
