Sungrow, a global leader in PV inverters and energy storage systems, presented its latest innovations at Intersolar South America, held August 26–28, 2025. The company also marked a major milestone of 25 GW in cumulative contracted PV inverter orders and 10 GWh in energy storage systems across Latin America, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating the region’s clean energy transition.

Residential and C&I Solutions for Brazil’s Expanding DG Market

Microinverter S2500S-L
Building on the success of its 2 kW microinverter, Sungrow launched the S2500S-L with 2.5 kW nominal power and four independent MPPTs with 18 A operating current. Three units can power 12 PV modules for a total of 7.5 kW, maximizing PV array output while minimizing clipping losses. Key features include one-click configuration via the iSolarCloud app, reliable operation up to 80°C, 10% higher transmission power, and 24-hour data retransmission.

MGRL Single-Phase Hybrid Inverters
Sungrow’s MGRL hybrid inverters, ranging from 5 to 10 kW, offer affordability and versatility for residential and small commercial systems. Compatible with lead-acid and lithium batteries, they simplify installation and feature a dedicated backup port for critical loads during outages or off-grid operation. The system supports up to eight inverters in parallel, ensures seamless backup with less than 4 ms switching, and provides 100% overload capacity for short periods.

SG50CX-P2-LV String Inverter
Designed for three-phase 220 V grids, the SG50CX-P2-LV is ideal for commercial and industrial applications. It includes eight independent MPPTs, supports high-power PV modules including bifacial types, features intelligent IV diagnostics, and offers AFCI protection against arc faults. Its IP66 rating enables outdoor installation, and its design aligns with ANEEL’s free electricity billing criteria, simplifying project approval.

Rapid Shutdown Solution
Sungrow introduced a rapid shutdown solution to meet ABNT NBR 17193:2025 standards, reducing DC voltage below 35 V within 30 seconds during emergencies. The system includes the SR20D-M device, SR200T-BX controller, and Sungrow inverters. Patented Fault Heat Control technology limits device temperature to under 120°C, while C5 anti-corrosion protection and IP68/IP65 ratings ensure up to 25 years of reliable operation in Brazil’s diverse climates.
