UAE and Denmark Sign MoU on Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Denmark’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.

During the meeting, both ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on cooperation in sustainable agricultural and food systems, reinforcing their commitment to advancing sustainability efforts.

Discussions also covered various sectors of mutual interest, including health, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and other areas aligned with the developmental priorities of both countries.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed emphasized the strong and distinguished ties between the UAE and Denmark, highlighting their shared commitment to fostering economic growth and prosperity.

Additionally, the two officials exchanged views on regional and international developments and explored ways to enhance global cooperation in maintaining international peace and security.

The meeting was attended by key UAE officials, including Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; and Abdulla Balalaa, Assistant Minister for Energy and Sustainability Affairs. Also present were Fatema Khamis Al Mazrouei, UAE Ambassador to Norway and Non-resident Ambassador to Denmark; Omran Sharaf, Assistant Minister for Advanced Science and Technology; and Omar Saif Ghobash, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and UAE Non-resident Ambassador to the Vatican.
