FIMER Battery Energy Storage Systems – Powering the Future of Energy

In an era where the global energy landscape is rapidly transforming, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are emerging as essential components in creating resilient, reliable, and renewable-powered grids. FIMER, a global leader in power conversion solutions, offers advanced BESS technology designed to meet the most demanding energy storage requirements, from utility-scale deployments to microgrid applications.

High-Performance Energy Storage for Modern Grids

FIMER’s BESS solutions are engineered to deliver high total performance, ensuring maximum energy efficiency and system reliability. Leveraging full four-quadrant active and reactive power support, these systems provide superior grid stabilization and voltage regulation capabilities. This enables utilities, industries, and renewable energy developers to seamlessly manage peak demand, integrate renewable generation, and provide critical ancillary services.

The systems are built around a compact, modular architecture, allowing for rapid deployment, flexible configuration, and scalability as energy needs evolve. A self-contained cooling system ensures consistent performance even in harsh environmental conditions, minimizing maintenance requirements and ensuring long-term operational stability.

Flagship Product – PVS980-58BC

At the heart of FIMER’s BESS offering is the PVS980-58BC – a 2.3 MVA Power Conversion System (PCS) renowned for its efficiency, durability, and adaptability. This model is ideal for large-scale energy storage projects, offering seamless integration with renewable power sources and grid infrastructure.

Technical Highlights:

  • Rated Power: 2.3 MVA PCS
  • Application Capacity: 20 MW / 40 MWhr (scalable)
  • Cooling: Fully self-contained, suitable for extreme climates
  • Design: Modular and compact for easy transport and installation

Proven Success – The Kilokari BESS Project

FIMER’s expertise is exemplified by the landmark Kilokari BESS Private Limited project in Delhi – India’s first regulated utility-scale standalone battery energy storage system. Developed in partnership with BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) and executed by EPC contractors Indigrid and AmpereHour, this 20 MW / 40 MWh installation is designed to integrate renewable energy into the grid, manage peak power demand, and deliver essential ancillary services.

For this project, FIMER supplied 13 units of the PVS980-58BC, demonstrating its capacity to support large-scale, high-impact deployments that drive the energy transition forward.

Applications Across the Energy Spectrum

FIMER’s BESS portfolio supports a wide range of applications, including:

  • Renewable energy integration
  • Peak load management
  • Frequency regulation and grid support
  • Microgrid and hybrid energy systems

Beyond its flagship central BESS solutions, FIMER also offers both central and string-based and skid-mounted configurations, enabling tailored solutions for specific site requirements and operational goals.

With a strong focus on performance, reliability, and scalability, FIMER continues to empower the clean energy sector with innovative battery storage solutions that ensure the stability and sustainability of tomorrow’s power systems.
