NTPC Green Energy Limited has invited domestic competitive bids for the supply of 7,000 solar photovoltaic module panels. These modules will be used at solar power stations located in Bilhaur in Uttar Pradesh and at multiple sites in Rajasthan, including Fatehgarh, Jaitsar, and Shimbhoo ki Burj. The tender has been issued under the Government e-Marketplace and follows a two-packet bidding system. The company has set clear technical, financial, and eligibility conditions to ensure reliable participation and quality supply.

The solar modules required for the project must be crystalline silicon terrestrial modules with a power rating of 340Wp. Only established PV module manufacturers are allowed to participate, and they must hold a valid BIS license for modules rated 250Wp or higher as of the technical bid opening date. This requirement ensures that only certified and compliant products are supplied to NTPC Green Energy Limited. The tender also supports domestic manufacturing under the Make in India policy. Only Class 1 and Class 2 local suppliers can participate, and Micro and Small Enterprises with valid Udyam Registration are eligible for specific purchase preferences and exemptions from the Earnest Money Deposit.

On the financial side, bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least ₹410 lakh during the last three financial years. Their net worth must be equal to or more than 100 percent of the paid-up share capital as of the last day of the previous financial year. These conditions aim to ensure that only financially stable companies participate in the tender. The successful bidders will need to complete the supply of goods within 120 days. The evaluation process will be based on item-wise and consignee-wise criteria, meaning different schedules may be awarded separately for different project locations.

The Earnest Money Deposit for the tender is ₹5,00,000 in total. The value is divided across schedules, with amounts ranging from ₹71,428 to ₹142,858 depending on the plant location. All bids must be submitted online through the GeM portal along with mandatory documents such as PAN, GSTIN, and technical certificates. The bid was published on January 15, 2026. The last date for submission is January 27, 2026, at 2 PM, and the bids will open the same day at 2:30 PM. The bid validity will remain active for 120 days from the submission deadline.
