Florida-based gas detection safety solutions provider CO2Meter is marking 20 years in the gas detection, monitoring, and analytics sector.
The company develops multi-gas safety systems designed to provide real-time alerts for potential leaks in confined spaces. Its portfolio includes more than 250 gas sensor solutions used across medical, indoor agriculture, indoor air quality, fire suppression, food and beverage markets.
CO2Meter manufactured its first carbon dioxide (CO2) monitor in 2008 and has since expanded its product range to meet market demand.
In 2017, Travis Lenander joined CO2Meter as vice-president of operations and strategy. He became CEO two years later, overseeing the company’s expansion into integrated multi-gas safety systems.
The company aims to keep up with industrial CO2 trends, such as increasing automation, software integration, and real-time data usage.
, Lenander explained to gasworld, “CO2 gas safety systems are now part of a broader digital ecosystem.”
He added that major changes in the industrial CO2 space, centrally automation, provide an opportunity for companies to “take control rather than be reactive.”
According to market research, advanced CO2 sensors are projected to hold a global market value of around $1.55bn by 2035.
