Abu Dhabi DoE Chairman Highlights Innovation’s Role in Energy Sustainability

Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE) Chairman Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan has emphasized the significance of UAE Innovation Month as a national initiative aimed at fostering a culture of innovation within the country. The initiative serves as a platform for entities and creative minds to showcase groundbreaking innovations that contribute to shaping the future.

Dr. Al Jarwan underscored that the initiative strengthens the UAE’s position as a global leader in excellence and innovation. He highlighted the nation’s commitment to promoting innovation as a key pillar for sustainable growth, particularly in critical sectors such as energy.

He further noted that the UAE’s leadership is dedicated to preparing and inspiring a new generation of innovators to develop solutions that address current and future challenges. This focus is expected to accelerate the transformation of the energy sector and enhance the country’s global competitiveness.

“The Abu Dhabi Department of Energy plays a pivotal role in supporting the global sustainability agenda by driving economic diversification in the energy sector, fostering clean energy innovation, and investing in sustainable infrastructure,” Dr. Al Jarwan stated. He also emphasized the importance of international collaboration and knowledge exchange to advance energy innovations.

Highlighting the necessity of innovation in tackling global challenges, he noted that smart, environmentally friendly solutions are crucial for achieving a low-carbon economy. The Department of Energy remains committed to sustainability goals, energy efficiency, and advancing clean energy technologies to support the UAE’s net-zero targets by 2050
