JA Solar Earns TaiyangNews 2024 Excellence Award for Outstanding PV Module Efficiency

JA Solar has been recognized once again as one of the “Top 10 Highest Efficiency Mass-Produced Module Manufacturers” in the TaiyangNews TOP SOLAR MODULES 2024 Report. This marks the second consecutive year JA Solar has earned this prestigious accolade, highlighting the exceptional performance of its DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules and reaffirming its leadership in PV module innovation.

The TaiyangNews TOP SOLAR MODULES ranking, launched in 2022, identifies the most efficient mass-produced PV modules in the global market. To qualify for the Excellence Award, a module must remain in the top 10 for at least six months and be commercially available. JA Solar’s repeat recognition reflects the continuous innovation and superior value delivered by its DeepBlue 4.0 Pro series.

At the core of this success is JA Solar’s commitment to advancing n-type Bycium+ technology, which has placed the company at the forefront of the PV industry. The DeepBlue 4.0 Pro 72-cell module achieves a maximum power output of 650W and an efficiency of 23.3%, delivering outstanding performance for customers.

In December 2024, Germany’s Institute for Solar Energy Research in Hamelin (ISFH) independently verified a significant breakthrough in Bycium+ cell technology. JA Solar’s Bycium+ cell achieved record-breaking efficiency and an industry-leading open-circuit voltage of 748.6mV. This milestone surpasses existing records for BC cells and achieves passivation levels comparable to HJT cells, pushing the limits of TOPCon technology closer to its theoretical efficiency.

Since its founding, JA Solar has been driven by its mission to advance sustainable development through technological innovation. By the third quarter of 2024, the company had shipped over 242GW of PV cells and modules globally, reaching 178 countries and regions. This extensive global presence has played a key role in accelerating the adoption of green, low-carbon energy solutions worldwide.

“With our mission of ‘Developing Solar Power to Benefit the Planet,’ JA Solar is dedicated to driving innovation and delivering high-quality products,” said Aiqing Yang, Executive President of JA Solar. “By advancing industry-leading solutions, we aim to support the global transition to carbon neutrality and a sustainable future while remaining a trusted partner in the renewable energy industry, empowering a cleaner, greener world.”
