Nippon Sanso’s Australian subsidiary Supagas has acquired medical gas and oxygen therapy equipment firm Heeson Medical as it builds its presence in Queensland’s healthcare market.
Supagas, which supplies LPG, industrial, medical, and specialty gases, said Heeson already worked with Coregas business on medical gas supply and cylinder filling and rental.
Heeson has been operating in the Australian state since 2000 and has a medical aids subsidy scheme contract with the Queensland government.
“Heeson Medical has built strong relationships with healthcare and homecare customers across Queensland over many years,” said Supagas Managing Director Erol Arican. “The acquisition…is an important step in expanding our presence in the Queensland medical and healthcare market.”
It comes after Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group commissioned a new air separation unit in for Coregas.
Nippon Sanso acquired Coregas from Wesfarmers in December 2024.
