Oriana Power Approves INR 65 Crore Investment In Renewable Energy EPC Joint Venture

Oriana Power Limited has approved a cash investment of up to ₹65 crore in its subsidiary, Oriana Usolar Joint Venture Private Limited, as part of an effort to strengthen its renewable energy project execution and EPC capabilities.

The company’s Board of Directors approved the investment, which will be made through one or more tranches over the next 60 days at face value. The proposed capital infusion is intended to provide financial support for the EPC operations undertaken by the joint venture and enable it to expand its activities in the renewable energy sector.

Oriana Usolar Joint Venture Private Limited was incorporated on December 29, 2025, and operates in the renewable energy industry, primarily focusing on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services. Being a newly incorporated entity, the subsidiary reported no turnover during the financial year 2025–26. Its net worth stood at ₹0.68 lakh.

Oriana Power currently holds a 74% controlling stake in the subsidiary, representing 7,400 equity shares. The proposed investment will increase the absolute number of shares held by the company, while its ownership percentage will remain unchanged at 74%.

The transaction is classified as a related-party transaction and will be undertaken on an arm’s-length basis. The company has also stated that its promoters and group companies do not have any separate personal interest in the target entity.

No government or regulatory approvals are required for the proposed investment. The ₹65 crore funding is expected to strengthen the subsidiary’s financial base and support the execution of renewable energy EPC projects.

The investment reflects Oriana Power’s focus on expanding its project delivery capabilities and building a stronger platform for growth in India’s renewable energy market.
