Oriana Power Limited announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government to invest ₹10,000 crores in various projects. These projects will include solar, floating solar, Green Hydrogen, and Energy Storage Solutions (ESS). The MoU was signed in Jaipur at the Rising Rajasthan Global Summit 2024. Oriana Power has already identified six locations in Rajasthan for its projects: one in Bikaner, two in Churu, and three in Phalodi districts.

Rupal Gupta, Managing Director, Oriana Power Limited, said in a statement, “Oriana Power is proud to commit this investment of ₹10,000 crores in Rajasthan, one of the most progressive states with a visionary government at helm that is deeply committed to embracing renewable energy as part of India’s energy transition targets. Our investment and launch of multiple solar, green hydrogen and ESS projects spread through the state will further strengthen Rajasthan’s green energy credentials and accelerate the state’s journey to complete energy independence.”

Oriana Power’s renewable energy projects under this MoU are expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, providing a significant boost to Rajasthan’s economy and its residents. Recently, Oriana Power reported a 461.27% increase in revenue for the half-year ending September 30, 2024, compared to the same period last year. The company’s revenue reached ₹359.54 crores for this period. Oriana also announced that its order book now exceeds 500 MW, reflecting the company’s strong contribution to India’s clean energy goals.
