GREW Solar has secured a major contract worth over ₹2,000 crore from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), marking a significant development in India’s renewable energy sector. The order involves the supply of 1,464.5 MW of high-efficiency solar photovoltaic modules to multiple project sites across Uttar Pradesh.

The contract is part of NTPC REL’s ongoing renewable energy expansion programme and ranks among the largest module supply agreements under the initiative. The solar modules will be manufactured using advanced technology and stringent quality standards to support large-scale power generation and long-term operational reliability.

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, the renewable arm of India’s largest power producer, NTPC Ltd. The project is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening the country’s clean energy capacity while reducing reliance on conventional power sources.

Commenting on the development, GREW Solar said the partnership reflects strong confidence in its manufacturing capabilities and technical expertise. The company noted that the project aligns with its long-term vision of contributing to India’s sustainable energy transition.

The order comes at a time when GREW Solar is expanding its manufacturing footprint to meet rising demand for domestically produced solar modules. The company is scaling up its Dudu manufacturing facility to reach a total capacity of 11 GW, reinforcing its commitment to the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and supporting India’s goals of energy security, decarbonisation, and sustainable growth.
