Inside Deye’s Strategy for India’s Growing ESS and EV Charging Market with Bharat Singh

From advancing energy storage to expanding EV charging solutions, Deye is broadening its technology portfolio to meet India’s evolving energy needs. Bharat Singh, Director – Sales & Marketing, Deye New Energy (India), shares how the company is aligning innovation, customer demand, and market strategy to support the country’s clean energy ambitions.

Deye has been actively expanding its clean energy portfolio in India. Could you tell us about the latest products being launched in the Indian market and the specific opportunities they are designed to address?

We are witnessing strong traction in the Indian market for energy storage solutions, with hybrid inverter technology and LFP battery solutions gaining widespread acceptance among customers. To further strengthen our market presence, Deye is introducing a newly designed low-voltage (LV) product range that offers enhanced compactness and efficiency. These new products are scheduled to be launched at the REI 2026 Expo.

Energy Storage Systems are becoming increasingly important for ensuring energy reliability and maximizing renewable energy utilization. How do Deye’s newly launched low-voltage and high-voltage ESS solutions differentiate themselves in the market?

Deye’s core strengths lie in its large-scale manufacturing capabilities and strong R&D expertise. Customer requirements gathered by our marketing team are communicated directly to our headquarters, where the R&D team analyzes market needs, develops prototypes, conducts rigorous testing, and launches products tailored to those requirements. Our low-voltage solutions are designed for residential applications, while our high-voltage ESS solutions cater to commercial and industrial customers. Every product is developed to maximize energy utilization, reduce carbon emissions, and deliver superior quality, reliability, and performance.

With the introduction of high-capacity on-grid inverters and utility-scale battery storage solutions, what customer segments is Deye targeting, and what key benefits do these products offer?

Our high-capacity on-grid inverters and utility-scale BESS solutions primarily target commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, including manufacturing facilities and industries facing high electricity costs and demand charges. These solutions support applications such as peak shaving, Time-of-Day (TOD) and Time-of-Use (TOU) optimization, load shifting, demand response, backup power, frequency regulation, and grid stabilization. For facilities with variable loads, Deye’s integrated Energy Management System (EMS) enables intelligent energy dispatch, helping businesses reduce electricity costs, maximize solar self-consumption, and improve overall energy efficiency.

EV charging infrastructure is emerging as a critical component of the energy transition. How does Deye’s entry into EV charging solutions complement its existing solar and energy storage ecosystem?

Deye’s approach to EV charging is centered on the concept of EV charging through PV. Our integrated solution combines a Power Conversion System (PCS) with MPPT technology to generate electricity from solar energy, store it in a high-voltage battery system, and then power a 180 kW fast EV charger. The integrated EV charging solution comprises a 200 kW PCS, a 400 kWh battery bank, and a 180 kW fast charger, providing an efficient and sustainable charging infrastructure powered by renewable energy.

As Director of Sales & Marketing, you have played a key role in bringing innovative technologies to market. What factors do you consider most critical when launching new energy products in India, and how has Deye adapted its strategy to meet evolving customer demands?

As part of our market development strategy, we regularly conduct technical roadshows, participate in industry exhibitions, and organize webinars to better understand customer requirements and market expectations. These interactions help us identify industry challenges and deliver solutions tailored to specific project needs. Deye India is supported by a strong technical team with extensive industry experience, enabling us to analyze customer requirements and recommend the most suitable solutions for every application.
